New Maryland, Center For Artistic Displays Of History...Take A Tour Now!

Dividend of democracy is not portrayed by unseen figures, neither is it by theories, Lagos state under the purview of the present governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode continues to boom as transformation constructions hit every nook and cranny of the metropolis, indeed "Center of Excellence".

Major public roads and infrastructures in the state are undergoing new outlooks, this time round, Maryland is not left out of the good omen as the well-known roundabout which used to bear the cross of Three Nigerians lifting the county's Coat of Arm high is now turned into art exhibition center for passersby.

The exhibition is in multiplication as the former Three bearers are now being replaced by Five well-erected artistic poles, defining Lagos through bold letters.

As shown on the bodies of the poles, reading from the left hand side, the first pole carries capital letter "L", second carries letter "A", third carries letter "G", fourth carries letter "O" and fifth carries letter"S". All when married together spell "LAGOS"
Taking a glance at the images, they speak much of African parades though basically Nigerians. If not all, all walks of life, tribes, cultures and attires found among Nigerians are ably represented. This we can see the different modes of dressing covering for offices, events, festivals and others.

Of course, the giant men on Agbada shows that the Yorubas are on the parade, a young man holding firmly unto his stick with his hat stands for either southerners or Ijaws, Northerners are as well represented on the stand summing it, being the Three major ethnic groups on the representation.
"Rome was never built in a day", if a city that used to be well known as being the dirtiest in the world can make a clean turn, it could be achieved by others through good plans and executions.  It is your primary objective to take good care of your homeland.

It is obvious that you enjoy all the fascinating displays, feel free to send us stories of outstanding performances in your localities. God Lagos, God bless Nigeria!!!
