When Kosofe Local Government Extends Street Cleaning Initiative In Major Neighbouring Communities

Since “CLEANER LAGOS INITIATIVE” as ordered and pioneered by the Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode started, it is now over a week in the exercise that Kosofe Local Government Area under the directory of the Chairman, Honourable Sofola continued with the campaign tagged “Street Sweeping” 

In the early hours of the day, Sunday, 13th August, 2017, plans were mapped out for the exercise. 
Having covered almost other remote areas of the LGA, the residence of the Chairman located at popular Bode Thomas, Anthony Village all through neighbouring streets and apartments were cleaned.
One of which is a particular house located few buildings from the Chairman’s place, the owners of the building did not just violate Environmental Act, wastes dumped right inside the drainage in front of the house could cause damaging flooding which has been a major issue in the metropolis.
In an effort to make enquiries why such a huge refuse is dumped in front of the building, the gate remained shut to the public.

Though it took sometime before the evacuation, not long the campaign was extended to Arowojobe Estate in Mende-Maryland. It was very disgusting seeing neighbourhoods so dirty. Major streets and areas were touched in the course of the exercise.

The Chairman himself was present for the supervision.
