Kosofe Local Government Area Hit Oworoshoki, Begger Axis On Cleaner Lagos Initiative @PaulTrendBlog

It was like mere dream of the night when emaciated residents of Oworoshoki all through Berger axis happily received the presence of all newly elected candidates (Council Councillors and Chairman), Kosofe Local Government Area on Cleaner Lagos Initiative, CLI, which was pioneered by the State Governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode.

The general atmosphere out there on Tuesday, 8th August, 2017 was that of a surprise when the action took effect in the aforementioned areas. When Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC in conjunction with the leaders of All Progressive Congress, APC, Kosofe Local Government Chapter swept heaps of refuse from Street to Street.
Present at the occasion were men of valour from kosofe LGA; the Chairman, Honourable Sofola, Vice Chairman, ---, Council Leader/Councillor Ward E-Mende, Hon. Olumide Onayemi-County, Councillor representing Ward A-Oworoshoki, Hon. Omofojoye Adewale, Councillor, Ward B-Orile Oworo, Hon. Prince Kehinde Raheem Saliu, Councillor, Ward C-Ilako Sholuyi Araromi/ Okealo, Hon. Ibrahim Bakare Olawale and Councillor, Ward D-Anthony Village, Hon. Olumide Idowu.

Also present during the exercise; the Youth Leader, Kosofe, Mr. Adewale Mandate, members, Lagos Sate Environmental Sanitation Corps and distinguished members of the press.
CLI was billed by the Governor to take the State into the desired future as far as achieving clean, hygienic and flood-free State was concerned.

Residents who saw the goodwill programme of the present administration narrated their ordeals as such event remained unprecedented in the community development.
Top Islamic Scholar of Oworo Central Mosque, having seen the ongoing revamp appreciated the local Government a job well done. According to him, before now, nobody from the government offered any assistance on the general maintenance of the community and environs. He further told newsmen how has been spending from his pocket to make sure things were in place. This is why he continued to support Office of the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sofola and nation at large with prophetic prayers.
Hon. Sofola however appreciated the effort of the governor while addressing public; “The brainchild of his Excellency, the Governor, Akinwumi Abode, and the purpose we want to target large spots all over Lagos State where there is so much refuse piled up causing health hazards. No reasonable government will sit down and allow such. The Initiative Programme, we are going all around different Wards identifying where we have a lot of refuse. Collecting such refuse, sensitizing the community to change their ways, orientation must change. We want to give them Beings to put their waste and tie it, we have collection points. 
Meanwhile, the Chairman who spoke angrily disregarded the activities of some residents who continue to pay their quota by painting the good work of the government bad image. He said; “A lot of people park at 1:00am or 2:00am to park a lot of refuse in the boot of their cars and throw it on the dump side and runaway, this must stop!”
